Audible Inc, which provides downloadable spoken audio editions of books, newspapers, magazines, radio programs and original content, has teamed with broadband service provider RoadRunner to market and sell Audible.com's Internet audio service to RoadRunner subscribers.
As part of a strategy to showcase the "power, value and convenience" of the RoadRunner broadband connection, the two will promote Audible's service as a compelling information and entertainment application for the always-on broadband service. RoadRunner subscribers will also be offered a free one-year subscription to the New York Times Audio Digest, a daily audio edition of the newspaper.
