WASHINGTON, DC -- Webley Systems, Inc., a leading provider of unified messaging and communications services, commonly known as "personal assistants," announces that Michael M. Connors, President Emeritus of AOL Technologies, has been named Chairman of the Webley Systems Board of Directors.

Connors served as the chief technical executive for America Online, the world's leading Internet service, for six years. He resigned the position of President of AOL Technologies in 1998 to become President Emeritus and to join the board of the AOL Foundation, which develops programs to use the power of computer networks to improve the lives of families and children and empower the disadvantaged.
Webley Systems, Inc.'s unified communications and messaging system, Webley, integrates computers, the Internet and telephony to provide a more simplified and effective communications service for users. Ease of use and simplicity of operation is facilitated by natural speech recognition commands over the phone and a personal website to access all types of messages over the Internet. Central to the "simplification" promise of the Webley service is a single telephone number that forwards all incoming calls to any and multiple destinations and receives faxes. Incoming calls are answered and, if preferred, screened by the Webley personal assistant. The subscriber can choose to either take the call, or have the Webley personal assistant take a message. Users can automatically place calls and set up 32 party conference calls by speaking the name of the party from a contact list which they have uploaded from their PIM.
The "universal" message inbox containing voice mail, faxes and email can be accessed over the phone and Web Customers are given their own.
