(ADPnews) - Jun 23, 2010 - German chemicals group BASF SE (ETR:BAS) announced today it has acquired local specialist chemical company Cognis GmbH for EUR 3.1 billion (USD 3.8bn).
The equity purchase price stands at EUR 700 million, BASF said.
The transaction is expected to be finalised in November 2010.
