Fire HQ to join open doors day

People will get the chance to look around the Central Fire Stationat Mounthooly on September 8 as part of the annual Open Doors Day.

There will be station tours from 10am until 4pm through all partsof the building.

Operational firefighters will take visitors around the mess area,appliance room, training block, and Road Traffic Collision area.

The will also be the chance to see a chip pan fire demonstration.

This family-friendly event will have bouncy castles and a slideshow.

There will also be a demonstration showing fire engine equipment.

Guide Dogs for the Blind representatives will also be at the openday.
